The Blue Heron Hideout

Beautiful home in a magnificent location. 5 bedrooms downstairs with common area and master bedroom and living areas upstairs. Handy to know for those who have troubles getting up and down stairs!

The Blue Heron was a wonderful place to stay! The location was easy to find and we felt right at home the entire stay!

Our trip was a get together for ourselves and our kids and grandkids. It was a great place with plenty of room. We had an issue with the toilet and the plummer was there the next morning. It was a great response. Everyone had a great time.

The blue Heron hide out is a beautiful home with a lovely view of the property and its surroundings. We were amazed at how clean the floors were. The price is pretty steep, but if you have a group of girlfriends hanging out and splitting the costs, it can work. Appliances are updated and our host Jennifer was very responsive. She worked with us on letting us have a later check out date. Love her!! And can't forget to mention the awesome fire pit that we enjoyed during the night while listening to the rippling lake splashing against the shore.

We loved our stay. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the gorgeous lake views!

This place is beautiful. The location is perfect, the home spacious and the amenities awesome! If you are looking for a place for a large group, stop looking. The host was also super helpful. We had so much fun and can’t wait to go back.

That view!!! I'm still dreaming about it. This was such a great place to stay and there was already talks about coming back. When you first get to the house the door with the keypad is on the side door next the garage, not the front door. Just an FYI for when you arrive 🙂 There is a nice welcome basket as you enter the kitchen. They have an amazing response time and answered all my questions. After you make your way through the house and pick out your bedroom. Save the unpacking till later. Make your way down the trail to the lake and dip your toes in the water or maybe skip a rock or two. Enjoy the cool breeze as it comes off the lake. Reading through the check out instructions, both the booklet at the house and online, there is information to make sure you turn off the propane grill. However, there is no propane grill on site. They do offer a charcoal grill on the top patio. So you can still grill and have a cold one while enjoying the setting sun over the lake. If you are looking to have a family get together post covid, book this place now. It's so open and spacious and has so many bathrooms! If you want to have a meet up to host a baby shower or a small family reunion. Book this place now. There were a couple of cons but I have to be really nit picky to even find those. Like I said I thought there'd be a propane grill and there wasn't. But they still offer you a charcoal grill. There is no laundry soap on site unless it's left from the previous group. So just be prepared to bring a small jug of detergent if you plan to do laundry. There is a small propane powered fire pit on the lower patio. You would need to bring your own little tank to us this space. The ice machine was on the fridge was not working so we had to go out and buy our own ice. The light above the stove didn't work but it was only really needed when we were cooking after the sun set. There are so many windows that you really don't need to turn on any lights. All in all this house is amazing and if you bring enough people you really get your money's worth out of the rental. If we can make it work out I know we will definitely be back. Man...that view...I just can't stop thinking about it.

You will be absolutely thrilled to stay in this home on Lake Eufaula. The pictures hardly tell the story of this incredible property. There was enough room for three families with kids to stay in this home and never feel on top of each other. The master upstairs is stunning and all of the bedrooms offer plenty of room and comfy beds. I don't think anyone complained of a bad nights sleep. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook meals for a big group, plus a grill outside. There was plenty of yard to explore with 16 acres and the lake right there. It was the perfect place to relax and also a short drive to Robbers Cave State Park, which was a fun place to explore. We would definitely stay in this home again.

A big hit for my big family. Plenty of room for everyone and we really loved the upper and lower deck areas. The back area to the dock was a big hit for the little ones to have their own adventures.
We really felt right at home when we arrive with the welcome basket and all of the amenities. We are already planning on our next family get together at the Blue Heron. Thank you once again for sharing your home with us. Lasting memories for all.

"We’ll Be Back!"

First off, let me just say that the pictures do not do this property enough justice! It was awesome! The way the windows allow you to view the lake thru the trees is great! There is so much space inside the house. We had six couples together celebrating my birthday. We didn't feel closed in or like we had to constantly be under each other. There are different living/ lounge areas with TVs for the fellas to watch sports(football playoff time). I was able to get up in the morning, go out of my own balcony door in the master to sit outside without disturbing anyone else, wrapped in my blanket and enjoying a hot cup of coffee! It is SO peaceful there! We were far enough from neighbors that we didn't have to be concerned about our privacy or theirs. We did have a couple of hiccups that were immediately resolved by Tanya. We had positive attitudes about it because we know that things happen even around our own houses. It was nothing major. Tanya was readily available throughout the entire booking! She made our stay stress free and we thank her SO much for that! She even left me something special for my birthday! We loved it, loved it, loved it! We look forward to returning! The next time will be in a warmer month so that we can take full advantage of the space of the property and water activities. Book your stay at the Blue Heron. You won't regret it. I almost want to be selfish and tell you not to book it so that we'll be able to go back whenever we're ready! Lol

This is our favorite place to stay so far. We had a blast. The house is super clean. Plenty of room to enjoy yourself. We ate at Moma Tigs pizza and it was amazing.

“We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. Plenty of rooms and awesome view of the lake. We had a family gathering and everyone was comfortable and the kids had a blast. We had a small issue that we handled nothing big and she felt that it was important that we did not spend our time taking care of it and gave us some refund back that was way to generous because she was appreciative and to me that said alot about this homeowner. Thanku and cant wait for another stay in the spring next year!!”

"Privacy in nature and beautiful sunsets"

This huge, well equipped home overlooks an enormous lake and is surrounded by 16 acres of woods. We enjoyed fabulous sunsets after dinner from the top deck. The bottom deck is shaded all day long and we took advantage of the porch swing. We brought folding chairs with us so some of us could sit on the covered dock while others tied our inner tubes to the dock and floated in the warm, calm waters. We saw a deer drinking at the shore and a white heron hunting at the lakeside. The beds were large and comfortable and each couple had our own full bathroom. The big dining room table accommodated us all for family meals that we grilled on the deck or prepared in the spacious open concept kitchen. We highly recommend a visit to Blue Heron Hideout!

"Fabulous weekend with Family"

This property has it all: seclusion, 6 great bedrooms, multiple sitting areas (inside and out), well appointed kitchen, and a beautiful lake setting. Our family group of 14 had a great time playing in and on the water as well as a relaxing time in the house. Check in was very easy and check out instructions were easily followed and not burdensome. One very minor issue was quickly and happily resolved by the property manager. We will definitely return for future getaways!

"Great for groups!"

Plenty of rooms for groups of people with great views of the lake wherever you are in the house. The trails are fun for evening walks. BH Hideout is a great retreat. Very near to Carlton Landing if you want to hop over for events.

"Plenty of room and incredible views"

There was plenty of room for the 5 families that vacationed with us in this great house! (also plenty of room for everyone to park) The owners are quick to respond and very kind. They had everything needed to cook in the kitchen and if you don't like cooking on vacation, there are several really good restaurants within 15 minutes. The views here are incredible and you are right on the water- we spent a lot of our time on the porches. We definitely plan on bringing a group here again. It is the perfect getaway!!!

"Beautiful views and plenty of room"

Arrived at night then woke up to a beautiful surrounding view of the trees and the lake from my bedroom! Enjoyed a stunning sunset from the porch and kitchen the next night too. Brought my golden retriever who loved watching the birds in the surrounding trees from the upper porch and exploring the area with us. Very private and secluded but not too far from amenities and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by all the room in the house and we look forward to going back with another group of our family when we can!

An amazing place to stay with the absolute BEST views of Lake Eufaula, especially at sunset off the back deck.
Beautifully decorated and well-maintained. So comfortable for a large or small group. All the amenities including plenty of parking, great WiFi, and a boat dock.
Easy access yet feels very secluded.
Our family loves Blue Heron Hideout. Perfect for making memories and we will definitely be back.
